Native Texan Don Bingaman is passionate about helping clients buy and sell properties with great architecture in exceptional settings. As a second-generation REALTOR®, Don’s lifelong interest in real estate began in a high school drafting class. He then worked for a homebuilder and commercial contractor during college before earning his finance degree. Post-graduation, Don moved to Dallas to begin his professional career with one of the largest real estate banks in the country.
With a foundation in commercial banking, Don became a Texas broker. He joined a national commercial brokerage firm and began marketing and leasing large office buildings. Working for such firms as Cushman & Wakefield, Lincoln Property Company, Trammell Crow Company and CBRE, Don completed more than 580 leasing and sales transactions totaling over $760 million (7 million square feet). For several years he was recognized by CoStar Group (a national information firm) as one of the top twenty brokers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area — an achievement based on his transaction activity during those years. “I was very fortunate to work with some great institutional owners and some exceptional corporate clients to accommodate their workforce in significant, well-located architectural structures,” says Don.
After thirty years as a commercial broker, Don joined Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty to help his clients accomplish the same goal: buying and selling properties that feature great architecture in exceptional settings. For Don, the most important reason for changing his focus from commercial to residential was the personal satisfaction that comes with helping clients find the primary home or vacation home of their dreams. Everyone experiences life’s ups and downs, and sometimes these shifts indicate it’s time to change location. (Love where you live!)
If the challenges of 2020-2021 have taught us anything, it’s that the place we call home is paramount — that, along with our health, location, lifestyle and family, are the most important things. We’ve recently seen a surge of people relocating to Texas for our better, safer quality of life. We’ve also seen local residents moving into newer, updated homes with fresh designs, top-notch amenities and home offices. “Whether it’s a beautiful home or a vacation property, we can help our clients make well-informed decisions in almost any location here in the United States as well as 70 countries worldwide,” shares Don.
“I’m extremely grateful to be associated with the prestigious firm of Sotheby’s International Realty and the profound heritage of their brand. But, my passion is you, your family, your business and how well you love and use your real estate. Serving you as your trusted advisor is my distinct honor and privilege!”
